Searching Issues Services

Our Searching Issues service is a chance to discuss and question the big issues that face us today. All are welcome with everyone's opinion respected.

The title of the next service is: 'What's your angle on angels?' The service will be on Sunday 15 January and will give people an opportunity to think and learn about angels. Do we all have guardian angels? What are angels like? Who are they?

For most of the service we sit in small groups to chat about the issue. Leaders will help organise the groups after the morning has been introduced. Each group has a leader who will help start conversations.

The service normally starts and ends with a couple of worship songs. Most people stand to sing but you can sit if you prefer. We usually have a short prayer time in our small groups led by the group leader. All are welcome to participate or you can sit and listen.

In our September Searching Issues service we looked at the question 'Is our society sick?' The issue was inspired by David Cameron's comments after the riots. Some groups finished their discussions by considering what the churches in Romsey could be doing to help the community. If you have any ideas of what the churches could be doing to help out please contact us.

We have also already discussed 'Unity' and 'God - judge, jury... and executioner?', 'What does God mean to you?' and 'why suffering?'. Please contact us with any ideas you have for future issues we could talk about.
